Here’s a pic from a trip Reilly and I took to Alaska a hwile back. Sure, there were plenty of silvers on the creeks that were less remote…but NO…we had to go find bigger and more chromers way out in the woods. As soon as we got to the river, there was a fresh steaming pile of bear scat on the bank. On our way out, we found some humpies that had their brains eaten out…right on the trail.
Ah, the things we do for fish… :)

Barbie Bow (June Hawg of the Month Contest entry)
Four-year-old budding angler Olivia was out fishing with dad last weekend on Idaho’s Chesterfield Reservoir when this big rainbow almost yanked her pink Barbie rod out of the boat.
Luckily, Olivia was paying close attention to her rod and was able to snag it before it went into the drink.
As our latest entry into the Hawg of the Month Contest, Olivia has a shot at a prize pack from Yakima Bait at the end of June.

Your May 2013 HAWG of the MONTH!
Lindsey Manning had to fend off some fierce competition in the May Hawg of the Month Contest but, in the end, her 30-pound Eureka, CA Chinook salmon received over 5,700 votes, propelling her to the win. For her efforts, she’ll receive a nice prize pack of lures, a shirt and hat from our friends at Yakima Bait. But that’s not the last of her you’ll see — Lindsey will also be making her first ever appearance in the Hawg Bowl Playoffs later this Fall.
