The votes are in and, though it was a good battle down to the end, Adam Baker and his chrome slab of Sacramento River Chinook Salmon edged out Laura’s beautiful Clearwater steelhead by a margin of 57% to 43%. As you can see from the chart below, the votes were pretty evenly spread out across the US, but Adam definitely carried Europe and that random area somewhere off the coast of Nigeria!
For his efforts, Adam wins a guided fishing trip for 2 with top-notch Pacific Northwest guide, Bill “Swanny” Swann of Swanny’s Fishing!
The final results:

It is now April and there hasn’t been any Hawg of the Month contests this year? Why JD?
I thought the fish & the fisherwomen were the best! a 12#er at least. great photo!
It was not close steelhead should always beat a sac salmon. Just like politics big city folks always wins SAC..
That thing has to be bigger than 12 lbs Laura. Awesome fish anyways! I hope to make it to the Clearwater next Fall and get one of those 40+ lbers out of the Sacramento. Great entries this year all around. This contest is getting more popular in terms of entries and number of votes it looks like!
Well, CONGRATS Adam! :) I really wanted to win this Darn trip…. :(

And I think my fish weight was about 12lbs? Not super big I just had a really good photographer! ;) Thank You Don from Pautzke for taking me.
