Reilly and I hit the ground running in Alaska today. We had a 1-night layover in Anchorage before we head to chase the giant silvers of Cordova, so we rented a car and burned up the highway to Willow Creek. All the local reports said that the fishing sucked, but it turned out nicely for us as there was nobody on the water. Plus, we caught some nice fish, like this beautiful rainbow…

Though it’s the worst silver run they’ve seen in these parts since 1999, we found enough fish around to keep things interesting. Most were colored up and in full-on lock-jaw mode, but we found some biters.
Here’s a shot of the creek…it was a great day but we’re beat and I’ve got to get some sleep. We’ll check in later on the trip if we have a chance!
